Amazing flick, this really has changed my opinion of Alec Baldwin. Macy, Bello, and Baldwin put together an awesome performance, with a little help from friend Ron Livingston(Office Space, etc). Macy is overwhelmingly likable, Bello is equally so, and Baldwin... he'll shock you in the film, more than once, that's all I can say; his best performance yet, in my eyes. That said, terrible trailer is terrible. Why do good movies have terrible trailers? Thanks for posting this though!

The Cooler was mainly shot at the Golden Phoenix in Reno,(Reno was pretending to be Vegas) a hotel casino which is now being converted to condos called the Montage...The Golden Phoenix was formerly the Flamingo Hilton Reno, and before that was built as Del Webb's Sahara Reno. Many Reno locals had parts in the film... The film has done huge DVD business...

Bernie had three suits in this movie. One two sizes too big for when he was losing. One, one size too big for when his luck was turning. And one that fit when he was winning. Also, they increased the lighting behind him when he was winning. Great movie!
